The Union of Fine Bubble Scientists and Engineers was established in April 2015. Bubble technology has developed in many research fields, many academic societies and various industries since 20th century. In the end of last century, tiny bubbles applied very successfully to oyster culture and environmental protection in Japan. The scale-down of bubbles promoted the development of novel technologies by the fine bubble scientists and engineers.
Fine Bubble Science and Fine Bubble Technology are spreading rapidly to various academic fields and unique applications such as physics, hydrodynamics, mechanical engineering, physico-chemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, cavitation engineering, ultrasound engineering, sonochemistry, sonoprocessing, agricultural science, aquaculture engineering, medical, pharmaceutical, dental, cleaning, washing science, environmental science, energy saving, and so on.
Until now, every scientist and engineer studied hard to measure very interest data and to think the mechanism to show unique phenomena of “Fine Bubbles.” They discuss on fine bubbles and exchange information at their traditional academic society. However, the scientific field related to “Fine Bubbles” is so wide and so different that every Fine Bubble researcher hardly discuss and exchange useful results at a specific society. Moreover, it is important to foster new researchers and accelerate development of new technology. Therefore, to promote the progress of Fine Bubble Science, the foundation of reliable and new society or community is necessary.
Therefore, The Union of Fine Bubble Scientists and Engineers was founded. This union horizontally associates professional organizations (division, section, workshop, industry association and so on) related to “Fine Bubble” in academic societies and will be the site and community which closely exchange information about activates of science, technology, research, and development. At the beginning, this union was consisted of four professional academic societies which have research results and history about fine bubble (microbubble, ultrafine bubble and nanobubble) and a unique national association related Fine Bubble Technology.
After this, “The Union of Fine Bubble Scientists and Engineers” will contribute to the promotion of fine bubbles researches over the world.
